You gotta baby in there?

You gotta baby in there? asked one little kindergartner.
Yeah, I do! It's a little baby girl! I answered.
...How you gonna get it out?
Oh, funny little kids!

Thanks to Bree, my pregnant belly is being well documented!! These pics are of 'baby bree' at about 25 weeks. She's growing stronger and healthier every day! I know this because now she has decided that my ribs are a punching bag for her little hands and feet. I love it!

Jason and I are working hard to put the finishing touches on our kitchen/remodel project. Once we get our window trim up, we'll start on the nursery! Woo Hoo!!!!

The First Family 5K!

Woo Hoo!!! We woke up and greeted the morning with a freezingly friendly 5k run. Okay, so maybe I didn't run the whole time...but Jason did - good job, Jason!! Thank goodness Bre was there to keep me company when little Fiona decided that I shouldn't be running:). (Finona was her given name by Laura Slager). The kids at school are also trying to name her. So far we have Jenessa, Tyreline, and Kaitlyn. We are still taking other suggestions...

On another note, I think I am feeling her move...it sort of feels like she's blowing little bubbles that pop in my stomach. I'm guessing it's her, because it's happening a lot.

Happy Monday!

IT'S A GIRL!!!!

So there we were....at the baby doctor awaiting our turn for the ultra sound. I was afraid that I hadn't drank enough water, so as we waited, I continued filling up the little snow cone cup from the water cooler. Bad idea. Fact: ultrasound lady pushing on your belly while you have a full bladder is not the most comfortable situation.
As the story goes, Jason made her re-check that there was only one baby inside of me. Just one. One really, super cute little girl!! She was waving hello to us, kicking, stretching, and we even got to see her do a sommersault!! We were glad to see she's having so much fun in there:).
We were both sooooo excited! We didn't have time to shop together after the appointment, so I decided that I couldn't wait and went out and bought her some little shoes!
Jason's buying a shot gun.

my first blog

Thank you, Bree & Bri, for inspiring me to start a blog to document all the important events of my life...this, the starting of my blog, being one of them:).
